Off-Grid Europe

Off-Grid Europe GmbH (OGE) was founded in 2010 by Christiane Kragh and Mark Kragh and offers comprehensive technical solutions for an independent energy supply from renewable sources. The company specializes in photovoltaic and battery storage systems and covers all steps from planning and system design to procurement and installation. With the company’s own intelligent software, OGE ensures efficient monitoring and control of energy systems and thus offers tailor-made complete solutions for its customers.

Since 2016, OGE has focused exclusively on projects in Africa and founded the subsidiary Off-Grid Africa in Senegal in 2020. As part of the ASER 300 lighthouse project, the company has electrified over 200 villages in rural areas. Innovation is at the heart of OGE. They recently launched The Ohms Box, a compact BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) that can be used to generate electricity in off-grid regions and harsh conditions, even for MW sized installations. They also build a solar-powered cold store called ‘Much Cooler’ for the agricultural sector to help stabilize supply chains, ensure food quality, and promote fair prices for farmers in the long-term.

OGE’s vision is to create clean and reliable access to energy worldwide and to promote the productive use of this energy in a wide range of applications. Through easy-to-maintain and scalable energy systems, the company aims to have a positive impact on both the environment and the local economy and to improve the lives of millions of people.
