We are delighted to announce that the 11th Powering Africa Summit will be taking place in Washington D.C. from 19-20th March 2026. Save the date!

PAS 2025 saw the 10th anniversary of the summit being held in Washington D.C. under the theme ‘The Future of the US & Africa Energy Partnership’. We were delighted to welcome from the U.S. Department of Energy the Honourable U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, who, as Guest of Honour, delivered a Keynote Speech and a Fireside Chat. We were honoured to have Vice Presidents and Honourable Ministers from across the continent join us again for this special occasion, where the new U.S. administration spoke for the first time about their future plans for working with Africa’s energy sector.

We are pleased to be hosting the 11th Powering Africa Summit in Washington D.C. from 19-20th March 2026, and excited to welcome back Sun Africa as Summit Sponsor. This summit is a high-level dialogue and an annual celebration of the US-Africa energy partnership. It brings together U.S. Government stakeholders, institutional investors, private financiers, service and technology providers, and international private sector stakeholders from North America with Ministers of Energy, Finance and Mineral Resources, governments, Heads of Utilities, Transmission and Distribution companies, and Regulators from Africa.

PAS 2025 explored how US foreign policy would change under the new administration, with an emphasis on US stakeholders taking a more accountable and pragmatic approach to investment and partnerships globally. At PAS 2026 we are looking forward to deep diving into the past year and understanding whether expectations met reality, and the impact for banks, investors and stakeholders more broadly across the continent.

Spotlight on…

The only goal of energy is to expand human opportunity. Make us live longer. Healthier. More opportunities for us and our kids. Increase food security. Increase heating security.

Chris Wright U.S. Secretary of Energy

Partnership, collaboration, operation, is the name of the game. For anybody, in any country or internationally who want to move very fast…we have to move together.

H.E. Honourable Adebayo Adelabu Honourable Minister of Power, Nigeria

Africa is a continent where energy isn’t a luxury, but a launchpad—for jobs, for tech, for a middle class that rivals the world’s best.
