Africa Energy Forum 2026

Dubai World Trade Centre

For the first time in its 27 years, the Africa Energy Forum 2025 was held in Cape Town, South Africa under the enchanting shadow of Table Mountain and in the heart of one of the most active energy development centres in Africa.

Under the theme ‘Africa United’, aef provided a strong platform to bring African stakeholders together with a united voice and declare what Africa wants and needs to the world. This was the perfect opportunity to amplify the message from aef to the G20 meetings hosted by South Africa in 2025.

Throughout the week, aef facilitated dynamic discussions around accelerating energy project, improving infrastructure, scaling finance, and achieving electricity access for 300 million people by 2030. Ministers, regulators, developers, and investors came together with a shared focus on delivering tangible progress for Africa’s energy future.

This year EnergyNet hosted YES! alongside aef. With over 6,000 youth registered, 3200 attending in person, over 230 expert speakers, 80 sessions over 3 days – covering masterclasses, panel discussions, recruitment presentations, entrepreneurs pitching station and ask the experts sessions.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to all our sponsors, partners, exhibitors and attendees whose dedicated and vision made this year’s edition possible.

As we look ahead, we are excited to build on the momentum created in Cape Town.

Great location to host aef. The organisation was perfect and high-quality attendees and one-to-one discussions. Looking forward to 2026 with double the number of visitors, hopefully.

I had good interactions with diverse people, learnt quite a lot from their real-life examples, networked and got more insights on different technologies in energy generation.

Dear aef team, Thanks for all the facilities you provided us during the event, especially the meeting room for his Excellency. This was really appreciated.
