The South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) is a not-for-profit industry body representing the united voice of wind energy in South Africa. Established in 1998, the association has played a central role in advocating for the advancement of sustainable energy practices and policies, supporting the development of a resilient and competitive wind energy sector. SAWEA represents members across the full wind power value chain, including developers, manufacturers, service providers, investors and professional services. As a member-driven association, it brings together local and international expertise to support the responsible growth of the industry and to align sector development with South Africa’s broader energy and economic objectives.
