Twin City Energy Appoints Wilmot Asumeng as General Manager

Ghana’s 200MW combined cycle power plant elevates seasoned finance and power sector executive to lead the next phase of operations

Takoradi, Ghana (March 5, 2026) – Amandi Energy LTD, trading as Twin City Energy (TCE), is the developer and operator of a 200MW combined cycle power plant in Aboadze, Ghana, is pleased to announce the appointment of Wilmot Asumeng as General Manager, effective January 2026.

Mr. Asumeng has served as Chief Financial Officer for TCE since 2022 and has been instrumental in strengthening TCE’s financial management and operational oversight. His leadership will now guide the company through the next phase of its operational and financial excellence.

Mr. Asumeng has over 20 years of experience in power sector finance and operations.  He previously held senior roles at GE Vernova, including Director of Sales & Business Management where he oversaw commercial activities across GE’s power generation business in Sub-Saharan Africa. He began his career with KPMG and Ernst & Young. Mr. Asumeng holds an MBA in Finance & Strategy from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, an MSc in Accounting from Kent State University, and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Ghana.

Twin City Energy also extends its sincere appreciation to Richard Badger, who served as General Manager for the past four years. Mr. Badger will continue to support the company as a Senior Advisor and will remain a Board Member, ensuring a smooth transition.
