Tatanga Energy Mauritius Limited is an owner-founded independent power producer (IPP) developer with the ambition of becoming one of Africa’s leading IPP developers. Its mission is to play a catalytic role in accelerating clean energy development across Southern African markets.

Tatanga Energy aims to develop more than 500MW of attributable on-grid and renewable energy capacity by 2030. From its Zimbabwean base, the company will expand across the region through greenfield developments and strategic partnerships.

Modaso Energy, part of MISA Group, and Zimbabwean developer Tatanga Energy announced at the Zimbabwe-Zambia Energy Projects Summit that they will develop the Guruve-Mazowe Hybrid Renewable Energy project in Mashonaland Central, pairing 128MW of wind with solar and battery storage behind one 100MW grid connection, with ZESA set as its main buyer.
