Zambezi FM

Zambezi FM is a modern contemporary station with a mix of local and international tastes. It has been in operation since 2006 and its target market includes male and female between the age group 15 and 55 years.

VISION

Provide quality broadcasting that will improve the economic, social, health and general livelihood of the listeners through providing relevant information, education and entertainment.

GOAL

To make a difference to those we reach and to be part of the community that we serve, actively participating and leading the way in development, information flow, education and entertainment.

REACH

As indicated on the map, Zambezi FM has a potential audience size of 400,000 people in Livingstone, Kazungula, Zimba and parts of Kalomo. This does not include the overspill into Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia which has a similar number.

Through its terrestrial broadcasts, Zambezi FM radio has an active listenership of at least 200,000 people, most of whom are domiciled in the central business district with the main economic activity being trading, tourism, agriculture and formal employment. It is also accessible worldwide via live streaming on http://stream-africa.com/ZambeziFM.

Opening the third Zimbabwe-Zambia Energy Projects Summit in Livingstone, Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Energy and Power Development, Yeukai Simbanegavi, set a target to end power imports by the end of 2027, resting on 1,365MW of private generation in the pipeline and licensing reforms that have cut the application fee for a generation licence to US$20.

Modaso Energy, part of MISA Group, and Zimbabwean developer Tatanga Energy announced at the Zimbabwe-Zambia Energy Projects Summit that they will develop the Guruve-Mazowe Hybrid Renewable Energy project in Mashonaland Central, pairing 128MW of wind with solar and battery storage behind one 100MW grid connection, with ZESA set as its main buyer.
