Aksa Energy Delegation Finalises Revenue Compliance Framework in Accra
Senior executives from Aksa Energy’s West African division have held talks with the Ghana Revenue Authority to secure a data-sharing protocol for its 370 megawatt generation pipeline.
In Accra, the executive leadership team of international power producer Aksa Energy completed a governance mission to the headquarters of the Ghana Revenue Authority.
Tax protocols established under the new framework stabilise corporate revenue metrics during a period of shifting fiscal laws across the ECOWAS power market. Cross-border electricity sales will route through a shared auditing channel to verify structural receipts against national revenue directives.
Generation assets covered by the compliance agreement include the 370 megawatt thermal plant operating in the industrial enclave of the capital. “This facility remains a baseline pillar for the subregional grid matrix,” confirmed West Africa director Murat Captug during the policy review.
Regional grid networks increasingly rely on independent capacity to offset short-term generation deficits in neighbouring transmission zones. Security of supply across the wider West African Power Pool depends on the fiscal predictability of these large-scale baseload installations, which act as primary thermal anchors when cross-border wheeling volumes fluctuate.
Chief financial officer Cevdet Yalcin met directly with Commissioner-General Anthony Kwasi Sarpong to lock in the accounting models. Legal teams expect the transparent accounting process to eliminate commercial friction, setting a regulatory precedent for private infrastructure developers operating within the regional energy market.
