Solar Industry Association of Zambia (SIAZ)
Established in 2018, the Solar Industry Association of Zambia (SIAZ) is the unified voice of Zambia’s private solar sector. A non-profit membership body registered under the Societies Act, SIAZ brings together private-sector stakeholders, policymakers and development partners to build a sustainable, inclusive solar industry.
SIAZ represents its members’ interests in national energy conversations and works to create an enabling policy and regulatory environment that supports innovation, investment and sustainable growth. Its vision is to be the leading driving force behind Zambia’s transition to a clean energy future.
SIAZ delivers value through five core services: policy advocacy, market expansion, education and awareness, capacity building, and industry development. The Association engages government and regulators to champion solar-friendly policies, collaborates with financiers to unlock investment and grow adoption nationwide, and equips local talent, especially women and youth, with the skills to participate in the solar value chain. It also promotes quality assurance, industry standards and responsible business practices across the sector.
Through platforms for collaboration and dialogue among local and international stakeholders, SIAZ is helping position Zambia as a regional leader in renewable energy, driving green jobs, rural empowerment and climate resilience.
