Alliant Insurance Services is one of the largest insurance brokers, privately held, and very entrepreneurial.  For more than 20 years we have supported investments in Africa, promoting along the way more than $25 billion in foreign investment into African infrastructure projects.  That work includes placing insurances for IPPs across the Continent and working with leading IPP developers and their investors and lenders.  Our team is comprised of experts in political risk, trade credit, and parametric insurances and our brokers have US Government experience (DFC/OPIC, US African Development Foundation, Peace Corps) as well as decades of experience as insurance specialists.  While US based, Alliant has clients worldwide and networks that enable us to efficiently place construction and operational insurances for projects in Africa.  Conal Duffy, the practice leader for Alliant’s political risk group, is here at the conference as is Brendan Cronin who has extensive experience supporting African IPPs.
